Dear Patients and Friends:

After 45 years of practice and approaching 70 years of age, I’m happy to announce my decision to formally retire by May/June 2017. Although a bittersweet decision, I am comforted in knowing that my fellow associates, Drs. Kevin G. Murphy and Sahar Damghani, will continue to serve you in providing the highest quality dentistry. I am confident that you will come to trust Dr. Damghani as your primary care dentist, just as you have honored me with your trust over the past several decades.

As I have already begun to reduce my hours in the transition to retirement, many of you have already had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Damghani either during your routine appointment or on an emergency basis. Those of you who have not had this opportunity, I am happy to personally introduce you as she is uniquely qualified, being able to provide for both the general dental and complex restorative needs of her patients.

Dr. Sahar Damghani received her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.  After graduating, Dr. Damghani established a private practice in Philadelphia, while also serving on the  undergraduate faculty at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2006, she started the prosthodontic residency program at the University of Maryland, receiving her specialty certification in prosthodontics and a Masters in Oral Biology in 2009. The following year, she completed the Periodontal Prosthesis and Implant Fellowship at the University of Maryland, where she was a student of Dr. Murphy. She has researched and is published in the field of implant dentistry and is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.  She has been a trusted associate, working at Kevin G. Murphy & Associates for over 5 years.

Dr. Damghani and I have spent much time discussing our mutual philosophies concerning patient care. We have also gone over the details of individual patients and their past and future requirements. She shares my enthusiasm for providing you and your family with the best treatment possible and is committed to treating all of your dental needs with exceptional skill and compassion.

My practice has been a source of great pride and enjoyment and, as I have treated many of you for over 20-30 years, I have come to know many of you as friends. Thank you for the confidence, loyalty and friendship over the years. I am going to miss seeing you, but am secure in knowing that you will continue to receive excellent quality care.

Fondly,

Tom Milleson, DDS
